Your Diamond Darling!
This piece is my response to the traditional idolisation of diamonds as they take over the importance of design. Inspired by the documentary ‘Nothing Lasts Forever’ about inflation of synthetic gems, Your diamond Darling explores today’s understanding of value as we abandon the stone to appreciate the structure.
The ring is a silver structure that can be worn as a necklace, with the acetate diamond being part of the ‘packaging’, revealing the true value of the piece being the structure. The structure piece is then worn as either a ring or a pendant necklace with a leather string.
