Born in 2003, Amina is a contemporary jewelry designer and maker whose practice is distinguished by its nuanced engagement with memory, materiality and cultural narrative of Post-Soviet Central Asia. A graduate from Central Saint Martins (BA Hons Jewelry Design), her work demonstrates a capacity to transform overlooked, everyday objects into resonant, wearable artefacts that operate simultaneously as adornment and as vessels of personal and collective nostalgia.

Drawing from her childhood in Kazakhstan, Amina’s collections articulate nostalgia not as a sentimentality, but as a creative strategy for reimagining the ordinary. Buttons, wired telephones, toys, and carpets are considered through processes of deconstruction and reconstruction, yielding jewelry that both honors and redefines their significance. This conceptual depth is balanced by a strong commitment to craft, experimentation with non-precious materials, and an interest in the sustainability of design practices.

Amina’s graduate work has been recognized with the Vickisarge Planet Positive Award and Worshipful Company of Tin Plate Workers Alias Wire Workers of London Award for best use of Non-Precious Metals, affirming both her innovative approach and ability to situate jewelry within broader discourses of ecology, memory, and value.
